Willowherb is best known for treating urinary tract infections, intestinal issues, phelmy coughs and skin problems ranging from eczema, acne and burns to wounds and boils. The leaves have strong anti-inflammatory capabilities. The juice of the flowers is highly antiseptic and can be simply squeezed from the fresh petals. Remember, Willowherb (Epilobium augustifolium) is not Willow Tree (Salix alba). They are two different plants. We’ll explore Willow Tree next week! So be on the look out so you can compare and celebrate their differences!
