Botanical Name: Punica granatum

Pomegranates have been used for thousands of years. They are mentioned in Greek, Hebrew, Buddhist, Islamic, and Christian writings and mythology. Written records dating back to 1500 BCE mention pomegranate as a remedy for tapeworm and other parasites.
Today pomegranates are recognized as highly nutritious and full of antioxidants that support heart, gut, and immune health. Pomegranate seeds are commonly called arils.
