Orchids are a symbol of purity, love, and refinement. Beloved the world over, you may not know that they also have important medicinal properties.
Orchids (aka Dendrobium nobile, or D. officinale) are considered one of the 50 Fundamental Herbs in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
Often called Dendrobium, these plants’ flowers, stems, and leaves have been used in TCM to treat thirst, stomach disorders, and diabetes and promote body fluids, including saliva.
It is also increasingly being included in pre-workout supplements to boost physical stamina and athletic performance.
