Coffee is sometimes called “joe” because it is considered the common man’s drink and “joe” is slang for a “regular guy”.

And it turns out that in America at least, your morning cup of Joe may contain the highest level of antioxidants in your daily diet. A testament to the high level of antioxidants found in coffee and the generally low level of antioxidants found in the SAD (Standard American Diet).
